Unlike ozone-depleting CFCs, HFCs have Global Warming Potential higher than CO\u2082 \u2013 making them climate change &#8220;silent killers.&#8221;<\/p><p>To align with the emission reduction efforts of over 160 countries worldwide, Taiwan&#8217;s Ministry of Environment launched the HFCs Management Regulation in February, effective July 1st. All HFC imports\/exports now require prior approval and are limited to Montreal Protocol parties.
